In addition to CE Prn Pharmacy Continuing Education, W-F Professional Associates (WFPA) provides the following services to the pharmaceutical industry:

Refresher Courses

Through its Morris Cody & Associates Division, WFPA develops and distributes pharmacy refresher courses that assist candidates in their preparations for pharmacy licensure examinations. Since 1971, Morris Cody & Associates (MCA) have worked with thousands of pharmacists to prepare for their pharmacy licensure examinations.   Presently, MCA operates three schools in California. MCA conducts live Review Courses prior to the Pharmacy License Exams in Illinois, Florida, California, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, Kansas and Pennsylvania. Finally, MCA’s home-study programs are utilized by candidates who are preparing for licensure exams in all states, and also by pharmacists who have been educated in foreign pharmacy colleges, and are preparing for US licensure exams. The materials concentrate on both clinical, pharmacy practice and jurisprudence topics. MCA is licensed by the California Department of Education as an educational institution.

Seminars

WFPA also presents "live," pharmacy CE seminars in conjunction with selected pharmaceutical manufacturers and community pharmacy chains.  Recent programs include: Nutritional Considerations for the Community Pharmacist; The Pharmacist's Role in Cessation of Smoking; Communication Skills In Pharmacy; The Pharmacist and Stress Management; Herbal Medicine & the Pharmacist; and Continuous Quality Commitment for Reducing Prescription Errors.

Marketing

Beyond its CE emphasis, W-F Professional Associates, Inc. also specializes in marketing communications consulting.  In this capacity, the firm assists drug store chains and pharmacy-related companies on how to more effectively communicate with pharmacists, consumers, and staff members.

The company helps these groups define their goals and then selects the best vehicle for achieving them.  The finished product can be one or more of a variety of marketing-related collateral materials including: newsletters; informational/ educational literature; recruitment or benefit programs and other promotional pieces.

Risk Management & Error Reporting Programs

Presently, WFPA is marketing a specialized Pharmacy Risk Management Program that assists independent pharmacies and chain pharmacies to readily recognize the cause of most prescription-related errors, and to develop a simple system for decreasing these.
